Legislative Initiatives on Health and Social Spheres Adopted

On February 5, at the RA NA Standing Committee on Health Care and Social Affairs moderated by Narek Zeynalyan the draft law on Amending the RA Law on Medical Aid and Service of Population authored by the RA Government and the enclosed presented package of bills were debated in the first reading. The key speaker, the RA Deputy Minister Anahit Avanesyan presented the legislative initiative.

Considering important it Narek Zeynalyan noted that the Committee organized a working discussion, during which the MPs presented 111 proposals, and 78 out of them were accepted and included in the package.

The MPs debated in the first reading the bill on Making Addenda to the RA Law on State Allowances and the enclosed presented package of bills.

The draft law on Amending the RA Law on Social Support authored by the Government and the enclosed presented package of bills were also debated in the first reading. The RA Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Zhanna Andreasyan noted that in consonance with the RA Government programme the Ministry had undertaken structural changes.

The debated legislative initiatives were endorsed.

The debate of the bill on Making Addendum to the RA Law on Medical Aid and Service of the Population was postponed.

The Committee debated among other items the written document of the SNCO employers of the AIDs Prevention Republican Centre of the RA Ministry of Health, the item on the decision of joining NORK Infection Clinic Hospital CJSC.

The Committee made a decision to address the RA Minister of Health to study the item and provide relevant information to the Committee within three-week term.

The protocol of working debate on the theme The Problems of Birth Aid Service Organization in the RA was also debated.

The Committee approved the draft protocol and made a decision to submit it to the RA Minister of Health.
